One of the best parts about living in Colorado is access to the amazing Red Rocks Amphitheater. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the formation of Red Rocks, well the formation of the amphitheater amongst these rock structures. The naturally formed amphitheater boasts some of the best acoustics, and unique events. Along with concerts, Red Rocks hosts Yoga on the Rocks in the summer months. Theses photos are from the first two weeks of Yoga on the Rocks this year. The month of June is put on by the local yoga studio the River.
Week one was taught by Sara Rice and accompanied by DJillE.
Week Two was taught by Christa Schwind and Katy Rowe and accompanied by DJ Artisan Jones.
It is awe-inspiring to practice amongst 2,500 yogis, in a location like Red Rocks. Situated right at the foothills, Red Rocks offers a view of the entire city of Denver, as well as, the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. There is truly no place like this to practice yoga. To take an hour to practice outdoors with so many people. amongst all the fear in this world, is to take an hour to remind oneself of the love and peace that is achievable with mankind.
I highly recommend checking out Yoga on the Rocks. The remaining dates for this year are sold out… so make sure to watch for this opportunity next year.
